My career with the University of Hawai'i began in Hilo on November 18, 1991.

In 1997 my application for tenure was approved. I was promoted to Assistant Professor in 1998. My dossier lists my activities and achievements during this time.

Future promotions required that I have a second Master's Degree and/or a PhD. In 2001, I was granted a one year sabbatical to begin work on a second Master's degree at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
